Overview & My Reflection
Timbu is a multi-purpose platform that helps businesses operate seamlessly across online and offline channels. It combines three experiences in one ecosystem:
- Marketplace – Buyers explore products and make purchases
- SaaS Dashboard – Merchants manage inventory, track analytics, and handle orders
- Cash Register (POS) – Enables in-person sales and integrates with inventory
My reflection here: The biggest challenge was creating coherence across three very different interfaces. Each had different user goals — buyers, merchants managing online stores, and staff handling POS — but they had to feel like a single, connected system.
This project allowed me to exercise systems thinking, UX strategy, and cross-platform consistency
⬛ UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM
📍 Optional Screen: Early sketches or cluttered interface
Businesses using Timbu were struggling to manage disconnected workflows:
- Sellers were juggling marketplace listings and offline POS systems manually
- Buyers experienced inconsistent product browsing and checkout experiences
- Admin dashboards were overloaded, making it hard to track sales, inventory, and orders
